The workshop “Cardiac Surgery Patient in Primary Care Medicine” enables an easier understanding of the principles of choosing a patient’s treatment after cardiac surgery.

This workshop aims to present the characteristic post-operative changes in the ECG in cardiac surgery patients, which will significantly determine the selection of the patient’s treatment. This workshop, will be coordinated by Prim. Dr. sci Sanko Pandur will undoubtedly make the postoperative treatment of cardiac surgery patients understandable to all participants.

The AI Assisted Healthcare workshop provides an introductory overview of AI Applications in medicine for participants, including highlights of real-world examples of AI applied-healthcare such as gamification in healthcare education, AI telemedicine virtual assistants, virtual reality advanced learning methods in medicine, and game-based learning as employed in physical and cognitive therapy enhancement. Participants will grasp the fundamental principles of cardiac electrical activity, laying a strong foundation in ECG interpretation. They will learn to identify and understand the basic components of an ECG, essential for accurate diagnosis. Students will develop skills to report ECG findings effectively in clinical settings, enhancing their practical knowledge. They will gain insights into recognizing normal ECG patterns and variations in healthy individuals. Lastly, attendees will acquire proficiency in diagnosing common heart diseases through comprehensive ECG analysis.

The goal of this workshop is to educate and familiarize medical students with modern pacemakers. The introductory part of the workshop will focus on the theoretical part on the way pacemakers function and on the indications for their implantation. The next part of the workshop includes the actual implantation of a pacemaker in a pig carcass, with a practical demonstration of the entire procedure. The final part of the workshop consists of a surgical suture of the pigskin, in which student volunteers will be able to participate. The end of the workshop is set aside for a discussion where students will be able to ask questions to the educator.

The workshop ” Ultrasound guided central line placement in pediatric patients” is an intensive educational program that provides practical experience and theoretical knowledge to young physicians and medical students about the safe and effective procedure of placing a central venous catheter in children using ultrasound guidance. Through interactive presentations, demonstrations, and practical exercises, participants will learn different techniques for catheter placement, recognize anatomical structures and complications, and develop skills in real-time ultrasound technology application. This workshop emphasizes the importance of precision, safety, and care for the child’s well-being during the procedure, and provides participants with reliable methods and strategies to improve the quality of care and reduce risks for patients. Through a multidisciplinary approach and expert guidance, this workshop empowers healthcare workers to deliver the highest level of care to pediatric patients requiring central venous access. Ultimately, participants will leave the workshop with increased confidence, knowledge, and skills necessary for successfully conducting the procedure of placing a central venous catheter in children under ultrasound guidance.
